Where Are the Youth?

Ok, I admit it!
As a mom, I want to be there for my kids. I want them to know I love them and I support them. They are a gift from God... a huge blessing! I know it and I want them to know it! I would lay down my life for them....
I want to listen to them and even have the *occasional * moment of clarity and advise them. I want them to learn any good that I have and learn from all the bad.
I want us to always be open and honest with each other! If they need me, I'm there! Any questions? Come to me... If I don't know, I'll say so and we'll search out the answers together.
But.....
There's one topic that I'm just plain uncomfortable with. I have no answers and I'm just at a loss as to how to handle any discussion on the subject!

So it's just depressing for me to talk with my oldest daughter about-

ssssshhhhhh.......

Christian teens.

No, it's not a typo. Yes, that's what I meant.

My oldest daughter is one of them.

But the problem is if there really are any "them" or is she the only one?

Surely it can't be an oxymoron?

She would love nothing more than to find someone close in age to share together in their walk with Christ. Someone who has a passion for God.

So I pray. Hard.
And God answers prayers!
We're starting to *find* godly teens. Not many, mind you. But a few here and there. Enough to let us know that they do exist! Enough to remind us that God does care about our individual lives and even the small things that matter to us! Enough to keep us joyfully looking.....

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers
in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
