We ARE the Church

Why don't people get it? *sigh*

The "church" is NOT the gathering place.
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1 Corinthians 3:9

The "church" is NOT a building.
...we have a building of God,
an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:1b

The "church" is NOT an online forum.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11

Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Hath not my hand made all these things?
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Acts 7:48-51

The Church IS the Body of Christ.
The Church IS the group of Spirit-filled, indwelt, faith filled and faith full, followers of Christ.
The unsaved GO to church, the saved ARE the Church.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:20-22

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Hebrews 9:11-12

We ARE the Church!
Maybe if more professed Christians understood and accepted that, there would be more worship and less services.
We wouldn't have to GO to church to worship Him. We could understand that we ARE the Church and should be worshipping always and everywhere!
And if we can assemble together with other believers maybe it would finally be in spirit and in truth!
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24
